Your area of responsibility

Join our team as a Senior Linux Software Developer (m/f/d) and help us build innovative software solutions for high-precision measurement devices on Linux-based embedded systems across the entire technology stack!

Your Role:
  • Software development for measurement devices on Linux-based embedded platforms in highly regulated environments
  • Full platform development (Linux kernel patches for customised hardware, OS package management, toolchain management)
  • Full application stack development (front-end GUI, back-end database, automation, and systems integration)
  • Collaboration with end customers to support and further develop products
  • Maintenance and expansion of existing and new codebases
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing

Your profile

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Relevant professional experience, preferably six years or more
  • Expert knowledge of C++ (C++20/23) with a strong understanding of the C++ standard library, template and macro-based metaprogramming techniques
  • High level of experience in Linux on embedded architectures, ideally ARM64
  • Experience interfacing with customized hardware and working with low-level interfaces
  • Experience in UI design/development and database development
  • Experience developing Linux systems and OS components, as well as reviewing electronic schematics
  • Strong knowledge of best programming practices, particularly secure coding
  • Basic knowledge of networking technologies and protocols (e.g., LDAP, CIFS, Wi-Fi, OPC UA, Profinet) and encryption principles
  • Very good English skills (C1) and German skills (at least B1) or willingness to learn German
  • Independent, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented working style with a high level of flexibility and sense of responsibility
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus
